Polish Legions & Enemies
HERE YOU CAN WATCH LOTS OF PICTURES TAKEN BACKSTAGE AND DURING FIRST 3 SONGS PLAYED BY METALLICA LIVE IN POLAND ON MAY 31st
Yeah, the only way to stay in the front row is to be constantly careful, because there's always thousands of people eager to take your place- your elbows must move all the time or you can start looking at the screens if you want to see the band bigger than ants...when malmsteen came on i still had my spot, and it was awesome, just too bad the guy next to me inched his way in and before i knew it i wasn't leaning on the stage anymore
Did you actually bother to read what I had written? My English's far from being perfect, but I thought I made myself clear- "the whole thing between me and the clown" didn't happen, because I wasn't enjoying the music or even the show, but because I (personally, not as a part of the crowd) have been offended many times by this artist (he spat on me, showed the middle finger and yelled "fuck you" to me- to punish me for not headbanging, which was more or less what you did during Endo- "enduring the torture in respectful silence"- I didn't provoke him. He thought he deserves to be worshipped and that I should headbang as I'd come to the show- he must had forgotten they weren't the headliners). I don't know if the Endo guys (whoever the fuck they are) acted in a similar way, but I dare to assume they did, as you compare the two shows- in this case all I've got to say is that I'm a totally different person than you are. I neither enjoy, nor tolerate when someone tries to ill-treat me. I have my pride and honour and thus always retaliate by some means or other. I don't feel tongue-tied or frightened just because I've been attacked by someone famous who wears a scary mask and has got his crowd and security guards behind him. Perhaps you enjoy being treated like trash (and remain in "respectful silence" while someone spits or throws a bottle at you), but I don't. I'd act in the same way, if such thing happend to me during a TestAmenT show (hypothetically, of course, because none of the TestAmenT members would ever act like such an asshole). If that's immature, then ok.I think the whole thing between you and the clown shows that both sides are immature. The last time I saw Megadeth, Endo opened for them, and I endured the torture in respectful silence.
I did and I'm not ashamed of it. I also stressed that I don't like their newer music, but I went there to see a legend- for the first time in my life. I didn't attend the show to hear the 2 (two) St.Anger songs they played. And even if Lars or Metallica liked and were influenced by any band (including slipknot) and even if I totally adored all Metallica's albums (including St.Anger), that wouldn't mean I had to enjoy all these bands they like and have been influenced by. Too hard to comprehend?Of course, I don't think Slipknot's all that bad either, and apparently some industry insiders agree. I mean, they influenced two Slayer albums and a Metallica album. The difference, IMO, is that Slipknot's Kegs sound much better than Lars's trashcans. Keep in mind that you already confessed to staying for Metallica's show.
Did you? You were yelling no's at the guy right up at the stage. I would have had your ass thrown out.Did you actually bother to read what I had written?
Amen.I'm a totally different person than you are.
I guess we have one thing in common then.I neither enjoy, nor tolerate when someone tries to ill-treat me.
Of course I was. The guy was asking the audience and we were answering (speaking our minds)- I was a part of the audience and I always respond while someone asks me. Were only the yes-sayers allowed to answer? That would be censorship, so that the papers could say the next day: "all the people enjoyed the show and were yeling 'yeah' everytime the singer inquired whether they'd like to hear another song" I'll not sit quiet, when I have the opportunity to say what I feel (and maybe make their set shorter...in a politically correct way). Did my honesty give him the right to treat me like this? Could I have suspected such behaviour? Perhaps. But I don't judge people by their appearance (although it's pretty hard when it comes to slipknot ). I also don't think yelling "no's" could have touched him in person- especially that we weren't screaming at him, but at the vocalist, who was the asker, as the rest of the audience.Did you? You were yelling no's at the guy right up at the stage. I would have had your ass thrown out.
