Totally different with Death Angel. I think they were truly exploring different musical directions, not playing what they think people wanted to hear. I thought they were averagew as a thrash band. Act III was a masterpiece though. To each his own of course though.

A good point brother but even so The Organization was much more accesible than thrash and therefore I consider that at the time was an analogy of what Popallica was heading with the "Load" and above era.

And yes DA was an average thrash band, nevertheless I hope you have listened to "The Art of Dying", not only an astounding comeback for a band but also their best album IMO.
