metallica

St anger had some good points to it - it had a lot of potential i thought and a couple of good all round songs. Sure they are not real heavy nower days, but who cares? I am, like most, a fan of their early works and not much in the last 15 years has really done much for me. But i still think they are a kick ass band, and so long as they play the old shit at their shows then who cares

On their last tour they were as fast as ever - probably as fast as the puppetz days

WOW! thats inspiring commentary!! just the sheer level of intellegence that went into that fine peice of posting ... I'm in Awe!!!
Thanks... I thought it up ALL by myself.:Spin:

I don't think it matters that they suck ass now, even though they're like my 2nd favotite band, they're always gonna be one of the greatest bands EVER!
And I'm sick of everyone being all pissy because they went mainstream some time ago, face it, if that would have been any of you guys, you ass would have probobly sold out in the first couple of years, hell, even Ill admit that I wouldn't give a rats ass about the music anymore if I got all fuckin rich after a couple of albums. No band is gonna stay true for ever, SO STOP YOUR BITCHING!!!!

^^^ Some bands stay true to what they are really about, but granted, most dont. I like metallica, and always have done and probably always will, i just think there a cool band and its something, something you can sing along to

Dude! ac/dc? Those guys suck ass, I don't think it even matters if THEY stay true to rock. But Motorhead, yea thay are still prety sweet.

I get crucified for saying this but i think Load is better than the Black Album. AND in many ways The Black album is more commercial than Load. Ok, Load is quite a bit softer but the structures and song lengths are generally longer then the 4 minute on average Black album songs. So for me the sellout definitely started with The Black Album.

^^^ I think most fans agree that the sell out began at the black album, the strange thing is its not neccassarily that badder albumn, its just the shit songs on there ie/sandman, roam, NEM were the ones that were most publicised. Songs like holier than thou, god that failed, wolf and man and others alike are really cool songs

As anyone else you're entitled to an opinion. Of course I don't have to share it :D I don't like AC/DC but I do respect them for staying true to themselves all this years which is way more than I can say for a lot of 'sacred cows' in metal.
