Metallica's Final Album

And Justice For All is quite acceptable, but it would have been better if they stopped at MOP.

I quite liked Load, Garage Inc is an album I couldn't do without, S&M was decent, I enjoyed Death Magnetic.

If they had quit when they did I would have never saw them in concert, may not have ever discovered them, and their influence on me might have been lost forever. If you want to pretend they quit after Justice, feel free. As for me? No thanks.

I'm not so keen on Load but I echo all your other sentiments.

**Minority opinion**

They're still relevant. Granted, their post-Justice output doesn't hold a candle to their masterful 80s work, the music is still quite enjoyable.

I've actually been on a 90s metallica kick lately. While there's clearly a lot of BAD songs on those albums, I do find myself really digging most of Load and about 5 or 6 Reload songs. I've always liked St Anger and love Death Magnetic. In fact, I give DM an 8.5/10. It's, dare I say it, a great record (terrible production be damned).

DeathMagnetic was a step in the right direction, hopefully they can build on that foundation. It took some work just to get Metallica to say they play "metal" they kept avoiding the term for so long but it's clearly unavoidable.

Quite acceptable? I know that "Justice" is a controversial album: a lot of people think it's bad and as many people think it's excellent, but that's Metallica's masterpiece, in my opinion.

And Justice For All is my favourite album, so i don't give a shit about anything after that

Beg to differ. MOP was their masterpiece and AJFA was a strong effort but started to lack the quality of the first three releases.
