Metallica's Final Album

Still a great live act, even if their recent albums aren't exactly beloved by all.

My boyfriend just saw them last year, and apparently once songs like Enter Sandman came on he totally tuned out; while everyone else sang

I don't mind the Black Album, but I find it sad that no one is excited about new music from them anymore, since St.Anger and Death Magnetic were let downs to so many.

In my opinion just like Garage Inc, Load, and Reload, those last two albums (SA and DM) just add to the list; being the albums with one of two good hits and the rest just fails.

On another note; Still and will ALWAYS be jealous of my dad, for being able to see them several times in his younger years

Well, there are two sides to that story; Dads (like me) probably have seen those big bands at their best, but on the other hand we have become incredibly old

While this is certainly true carnut, I would not have missed the 80s for the world.

The horror at the thought of having missed the greatest party, concert and best decade ever to be young would kill me in a instant.

While there are loads of modern bands I like, the culture and personal freedom of the 80s is unforgettable! At least thats my story... and I am going to stick by it!! ;)

I wish I grew up in the late 80's; early 90's  LOL!
Always believed I was born in the wrong era, but I'm glad that I was born in the 90's or I probably would of never heard of the modern bands my parents grew up listening to.
I try to keep the old skool metal alive ;)

I lived through it but unlike you I miss it at the same time living in the 4th world. Life is pretty sarcastic indeed. :zombie:

If I could turn back time
To ease my desire...

Dude that is such an understatement. I realize every day I was sooo damn lucky. I would not have traded living in Eindhoven during the 80s for anything. I was lucky on so many levels I can't even begin to sum it all up.

Yeah, thanks for turning the knife :p

After Master of Puppets and cliff's death the band started going down hill,
And Justice for all... is an acceptable album but Kill em all - Master of Puppets was their good albums

Puppets was their Masterpiece Album, Justice is too long and boring but the black Album was a breath of fresh air. I'd say the Black Album

Interesting point of view, thanks for sharing. I agree AJFA is long, but even so still was the last good one they made.

Many people don't. Which is sad, we all should know our limitations.

But if they had quit after Master and Cliff's accident, then everyone would have talking about "what could have been" for the last 25 years. At least in this case we got to see how it played out.

a) True.
b) Not much actually, we should have stood and wonder LOL
