Metallica's Final Album

Quite acceptable? I know that "Justice" is a controverted album: a lot people think it's bad and as many people think it's excellent, but that's Metallica's masterpiece, in my opinion.
Ride the Lightning would be the masterpiece...

Beg to differ. MOP was their masterpiece and AJFA was a strong effort but started to lack the quality of the first three releases.
With the exception about which one was the masterpiece (RTL imo) i totally agree with the rest of your statement my bald friend...

AJFA was the band's most sophisticated, mature album.
I never considered it to be so... I considered MOP and RTL to be so then AJFA...

Ride the Lightning was their best album. .
You and me are probably the only ones who have this same opinion, the others just don't realize how right we are... :D

We can only hope that, one day, they will be enlightend. Honestly, Metallicas other albums barely compare to RTL IMO.

Definitely Master Of Puppets.

The only three really good Metallica albums were the first 3. I thought of AJFA as boring, and the rest as crap.

It's really like 3 separate bands. You've got the thrash/speed metal of Kill 'Em All through Master; then the darker/slower ..Justice; and now you've got the commercially acceptable shorter/more radio friendly Black Album, Load, ReLoad. The beauty is that they went and blended all 3 Met-elements into Death Magnetic.

Loved kill em all, ride and master, didn't really like justice, black was cool, load didn't really didn't do much, re-load was far superior but not great, did not like st anger at all, seemed angry for angries sake, s&m is a work of genius and I do enjoy watching that a lot, death magnetic is a great album, like this one quite a lot!

MAster of Puppets should have been their last album. It should have been followed 20 years later by Death Magnetic as their 20 year reunion gig.

I definitely agree!

Even though they're in the making for this new album to come out; whether its a hit or miss, I would like to see them at least ONCE live before they retire!

On another note; Still and will ALWAYS be jealous of my dad, for being able to see them several times in his younger years

Still a great live act, even if their recent albums aren't exactly beloved by all.
