I noticed someone mentioned Dies Irae. I came across this band by accidentally downloading some of their songs and I absolutely love em. Their album 'Naive' is awesome. Pure Gothenberg metal but in no way a pale imitation.

Seriously, for me its up there with Crimson and The Gallery and Whoracle as my favourite melodic death albums. And the bassist is one of THE best I have ever heard.
