Not really. Had a 6505+, Triple Rect and Powerball in the same studio for rhythms, and we opted for the Triple Rect + Powerball. When it comes to matching the 6505+, it seemed to pair better with the Rectifier, since the tone contrast is greater.
Personally i think not...... Our buddy band has 2 guitarist and they use 5150 and engl poweball. Its a good combo still but i just love mesa and Ive recorded the powerball and it was quite fizzy. I'm sure you could get around this fizz thing with quite a bit of tweaking cause that amp has like 100 knobs that all effect like 3 different things
