Mic Selection help?

Wondering if anyone can recommend a second mic to team with a Shure SM7b
on a 4x12 cab that would compliment the "Big In your Face tone". I'm finding the Sm7 is a very smooth and flat response as it sounds plain for guitar. I love it though for vocals, no questions about that!
I was thinking of maybe a Beyer 201 or a Bock 195 a few feet back to capture more dimensional sound.

Any thoughts on what to try/get?

Uhh, SM57? Don't mess with the old standard dude

Also, an MD421 is high on my GAS list

I really like either the Sennheiser E906 (with the high boost on) or the Audotechnica AT4040 for guitar amps, seem to be much less boxy than the SM57.

That being said, the 57 is a pretty gritty mic, so might blend well with your SM7.

i'll second the 421, and i'd also put in a vote for a royer 121.
