Just made this shootout, I hope it will interesting for you.
I reamped some guitars through my amp and cab and recorded them with 2 different mics going into my Octopre LE. The first time the loZ switch was not on and the second time it was on, so you can see how it affects the two different mics. I also routed the signal from the octopre's line outs to my E-mu 1616m's line ins so you can compare the result to what I got from the Adat in. Of course you'll also be able to compare a familiar mic to an unfamiliar one.
