Hey guys,

I've been presented with a stereo track to master and the vocals have quite a bit more high-end content than the rest of the elements in the mix.

I'd like a way to separate the center of the image from the sides and treat it individually, as the rest needs brightening, but the vocals start to sound too thin if I apply the same EQ curve to them as the rest of the mix.

I use Nuendo and have the Waves Diamond Bundle. Is there a way to cut the image up into Mid and Sides?

Waves also has a ms-matrix included.
Make this your first plugin in the mastering chain in wavelab then an eq of your choice (i like reneq) and then you can eq the mid and sides indepently. Insert the imager (i don´t know its exact name at the moment) as the last plugin and set your input to m-s (not l-r) and there you go.
