anyone know how to make the velocities for all selected midi notes identical? trying to even out some very dynamic kicks and i cant figure it out.

also, any way to make all selected notes the same length?

i have been able to edit all the notes simultaneously, but the difference between lengths/velocities stays the same

id appreciate if someone could shed some light on this!!!

yeah, ive checked that out, pretty cool, but doesnt solve my problem unfortunately. basically looking to maximize the velocity of all selected notes without having to change velocities one at a time which is a pain in the ass.

thanks for the reply!

One way of doing it is to select your notes using shift if need be (if notes are not together) then double click them. Additional info window pops up from the right side.

hmm, that was a step in the right direction, but when the note with the highest velocity reaches the maximum, the other notes stop increasing. fuuuck what a pain in the ass this is. it is working out but takes a very long time to edit each note separately. i`m having decent luck selecting notes with similar velocities and changing them together, still not the quick solution i would like

ahh well

1.) export to midi clip
2.) instal ableton live demo
3.) *magic*
4.) export midi clip from ableton
5.) import clip to logic
:heh:

Slightly easier, but less magical:

1. double click midi region to bring up piano roll
2. click functions -> transform
3. choose any of them really
4. in the next window, select "thru" for all of the options other than velocity
5. on velocity set that as "=" and the value as 127
6. bang

Takes all of 2 seconds to do :)

p.s. if you want to do some humanizing, you can do choose random and select the upper and lower velocity limits. also you can play with the timing, and almost anything else :)

I usually do this:

- double click on the region, it will open up the pianoroll editor
- select the notes that you want by clicking on them holding shift
- click on "Functions" (on the top of the pianoroll editor, between Edit & View)
- click on "Transform" -> "Velocity Limiter"
- change from "Max" to "Fix" in the scroll menu, and type the value you want
- click on "Operate Only"

that should do the trick!
hope that helps! :)

cheers
