If you work in a recording studio you may want to check you've got a license for all your software.
Especially anything from Israeli company Wave, who make very good plug ins. Of course, there's loads of moody copies of their plug ins about, which is a bad thing, but rather than ringing studios up saying they're going to come and check the licenses as most people do, they're sending out an undercover agent.
It's usually, though not always, a woman and she asks to see what plug ins the studio has, and in true Mossad stylee she has a secret camera on her filming it all. One week later (just like in the Ring) the studio gets a letter asking not just for the money for the license but also for compensation or they'll take it to court. A number of smaller studios have had no option but to declare themselves bankrupt. There's been small mention of this in music week type rags, but they're playing it down as waves are a big advertiser.
