Waves Audio Processing Accelerator

Back to the Waves box:

I think it's crap buy.

In 1 year you'll be able to get the extra processing that the box offers from a new computer.

It's expensive.

In 3 - 4 years it will be a piece of junk, like most computers.

With the money, you can buy a very nice analog stereo EQ or comp, etc. which will retain it's value.

Sorry - I just realised that most of the posts I have added in this forum are kind of negative.

I don't totally disagree, but yours is also an arguement against all computer/daw/new technology prurchases. Not to mention that, you would need to buy like 20 analog Eq's to equal the processing power in this box. Your analog EQ may well sound better but this is geared towards folks that want a lot of variety and options for the $ and I guess the trade off is faster depreciation.
