Interesting point that. Watching Petrucci playing on DT's Live at the Budokan shows just how little fuss and movement his virtuosity involves. With me, even playing a major scale looks spidery and awkward, yet his hands barely seem to move...

Yeah. It kills me. The good ones always make it look easy. I guess a huge part of playing well is economy of motion.
