Well...the sure is that both singers are amazing...

Peter is obviously more brutal and aggressive in Nightmares made flesh than Mike in Breeding Death or Resurrection through carnage (especially more agressive)
Mike have become more agressive in Unblessing the purity and Fathomless mastery though. So brutality is almost equal.
In high pitched screaming Peter is also much better that Mike ever was and his got his own desperate 'n' satanic screamin' style.
I personally prefer peter because he inspires me more that Mike does and makes my screams more inspired (I'm a growler too btw )

PS: Don't compare Opeth with Hypocrisy or both with Bloodbath...totally different styles between them...

Peter hands down. He is times more brutal and extreme than Mike. He can go lower and (specially) higher with growls and grims, besides Peter's tone is really agressive. I don't know about Opeth or Hypocrisy fans, but it should be very evident that Nightmares' is the most brutal Bloodbath album on vocals. Eaten and Soul Evisceration alone are way more brutal than any other song recorded with Mike (not saying he's bad, au contraire, but his growls are a little more 'friendly').
