MIX BUS COMP TEST

I got to mess with a Serpent Audio SB4001 and i did a little test between these three awesome compressors:

1. SSL Console G/G+ compressor
2. Serpent Audio SB4001
3. Shadow Hills Mastering Compressor

FUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Shadow Hills absolutely CRUSHES the SSL and the Serpent sounds exactly like our CL7720 G-Comp clone does. It 'kind of' does that grabby thing but it lacks the BALLS and ATTITUDE that the real deal has, especially on the initial onset of transient heavy program material.

The SH Mastering Comp absolutely made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside and while not being QUITE as aggressive as the SSL, still added TONS of attitude but also an EXTREMELY euphonic and music quality. WOW.

That'ssssssssss why its like 8 grand. Haha.

I'd love to hear an Alan Smart C2 in addition with the same settings.. which while I've never used one, from the clips I've heard it's ALWAYSSSSSSS been my dream 2buss comp. Absolutely MENACING and CRUSHING.
