so, I`m starting to get really annoyed by not getting an awesome mix together.

vocals are not really finished yet. no automation yet!! and no guitar/bass fixing yet. of course you can resample the kick if you like.

@opeth: download FLAC, then decode the flac files to wav files. import in cubase. done

thanks dandelium! what snare is that? really like it. and is that sneap`s kick? don`t like it ;-). vocals sound better than mine, what did you do?

Snare is the snare I always use, Behindert's.
Kick is a blend of 3 kicks I had lying around.
Vocals just have some eq, compression, delay and verb. Pretty simple setup.

Tempo map would be sweet....there's alot of editing I'd like to do just to tighten a few things...I'll do it manually...but yeah...tempo would be nice.

This entire map is based on the first snare flam being on the 1 of BAR 2...VERY IMPORTANT!!!

The intro of this is so effing awesome

Here's mine, done in about an hour. Snare is completely natural (no samples o.0) for the intro - only used a sample for the reverb, and then one mixed very low for punch in the fast bits, although its not triggering correctly at the moment and sometimes is off by a few ms making a flam.

I also tried something new to soften the attack of the toms - cut out all the lows with a shelf (18dB), then a 12dB Gclip and a 6dB Limiter, then put the lows back in with a shelf, so you get a really soft attack without distorting the low-end. I may have gone a bit overboard but I think it worked really well.

edit; funny I still like your mix best, the sneap one. What drum samples did you use? They sound REALLY good, especially the snare.
