So i read that our ears are most Linear when listening to music between 85db - 95db. And that anything louder than 85db for a long period of time will deteriorate your hearing. So i Figured 85db should be a great place to start. I had no idea what exact level it is that i have been mixing at, so i checked it out with a db SPL meter positioned at my mixing position. I opened a project and got levels of between 75db - 79db. I tried pushing it to 85db but that was just ridiculous. Anybody else tried out this experiment?
