What do you think Michael used on The Odyssey? His Triaxis or his POD PRO? I wouldn't be surprised if it was the POD PRO but then the Triaxis is probably more likely.
Its hard to tell because you can make the two sound pretty identical. However I used the Pod Pro in recordings with the mesa amp preset and that actually gave me a pretty good sound. I think he either used the Pod Pro directly because it sound like its a little processed sound, and very clean, or he overdub the
tri-axis a few times.
I bought a POD PRO a few weeks ago and have an awesome MJR sound. It's using the Soldano model and is very close to a preset (I think it's 5C but I'm not sure).
what is 5C, also can you tell me what settings you use for rythem, lead, clean. I just want to see if i can get it better sounding, because I did not really look at the manual i just got a pretty descent sound but maybe you can tell me some good settings. thanks,
I have about 3 sounds I use for ryhthm. The first uses the Rectifier stack (secondary function), the second one is like Opeth and uses the Marshall JCM-800 and the last one is like MJR and uses the Soldano.
For leads I basically add a bit more gain and some delay to the rhythm sounds (I also use the Mark IIC+ with the drive on max).
Clean I use the clean MarkIIC+ but I've heard good things about the Black Panel model.
What do you run your POD through? Do you just record or do you gig with it too?
From what Ive heard, Romeo borrowed an Engl head for a lot of the CD but also used a Dual Rectifier and his POD Pro for any clean guitar. I guess he still hasnt gotten his Triaxis fixed?
