Monday Morning Apocalypse!!!!!!!!

Yup, seriously. I copied it and I keep trying to paste it, but it keeps giving me a message that I'm forbidden to reply. Then I tried to put the test message and edit with a paste of the message and no dice.

EDIT: Here it is-

Why would you want to?

I mean, all opinions on the album are welcome, but it seems like a few of you are more interested in shit-stirring than any actual discussion...
jaimek,
How about isolating a few of my posts where I am weathering the sh!tstorm coming from the reverse direction, yet I still put my opinion forth in an itemized manner?

Or an educated prediction I made of this album being light before anyone got a chance to hear it?

Please be fair if you make a post like that, especially since you're a mod. I am still an Evergrey fan, though a fan of their past work. That should not minimize my opinion in any way on this board, nor should it create a sh!tstorm coming from those that like it because they can't handle negative reviews of an album THEY DIDN'T CREATE.

As far as the exchanges between Dragon and myself, there's no collusion or organized conspiracy against the Evergrey board. We happen to share similar opinions of the album, spoke up about them, were both met with negative reactions, and lack of understanding of our points of view. Then we decided to joke with each other about it.

Humor is illegal now here?

There are plenty of places for negative reviews... even here I imagine... but it's the length and manner that both you and DOB have gone to, to proclaim your dislike for this album that have rubbed people the wrong way.

I doubt you'd have the balls to walk up to Tom in person and say the stuff you have... but it's not much different.

I told James Hetfield to his face that Reload was awful, so I doubt I'd have any problems telling Tom that MMA is terrible.

Why wouldn't I? I would say "Tom, I didn't like the album and these were the elements I miss about Evergrey that made them one of my favorites"

You're too violent.

Dude, don't even bother with this one.

He's going on like a 13 year old girl would if someone told her that Avril Lavigne sucks.

Weird; I don't know what's up with the "forbidden" bit.

As I posted in the other thread: you're more than welcome to post negative opinions - but freedom of speech means others get to disagree with you.

That said, the tone of your posts and that of others have been *deliberately* confrontational, clearly hoping that someone will respond in a likewise manner. You reap what you sow.

It's up to you to leave it open in that manner, if you'd like. It would probably benefit you to allow more filibustering of the negative reviews via flamefests. While you're at it, have a talk with those that like the album, because chastising the ones that didn't like it shows even more bias on your part. Moderation should be bilateral and not unilateral.

This kind of reminds me of the stern show vs. the greg and tony show rivalry. Stern show fan by any chance?

It's not the opinions that I'm zapping, it's the personal attacks. If ALL of you guys would just freakin' settle down and discuss like reasonable people - whether you like it or not - I wouldn't have to touch the delete button at all.

I doubt it. But if so, I'm sure you felt big and proud of yourself.

Well that's great... but the problem is both you and DOB act like none of us are allowed to like the album. It's fine that you don't like the album, but you don't need to try and persuade everyone else that they shouldn't like the album either or else "we're not true Evergrey fans".

Everytime someone posts something postivie about the album, you guys feel obligated to respond in the negative.

Grow the fuck up.

Oh yea... so I guess you've been hanging out at the Avril Lavigne message board bitching and complaining about her works too, huh?

That's ironic. Weren't we asked by the mods to get back to talking about the album and not each other?

Yes, and the album is excellent.

Hope they tour the U.S. soon.

one word:LOL! why do toy bother with these discussions? jeeez, why dont you guys just listend to the new album for what it is and not "what it coukd have been, based on previous releases"....thats so sad.

I for one LOVE MMA! its good music, thats all I need:headbang:

and dont quote me,cuz I don't give a shit about your sad hobbies(complaining and bitchi'n)

Hey everybody, I'm Dutch, still very young and I got a few beers, so my phrases are not very well I guess but I want to say a few things.

I'm an Evergrey fan since the SDT album, I'm still a young guy but I think I still have some right to talk about some things! One thing that me really irritates me is that I don't understand that people can't believe that a band would make some progress and do something new, myb something heavier! I've heard the new album now several times and at the first time it shocked me too! But after a while, when you hear the songs over and over you'll get that Evergrey feeling back, for sure it is a lot heavier and it's myb not so prog but does that really take the magical touch of Evergrey away?. You can discuss like little kids on this forum that some things aren't so good as on a previous album but do you really like if they make 10 albums in the same structure as the ISOT,RD or TIC album?. In the first place I was also afraid that when they made a deal with their new producer that they make the wrong step and become a commercial band. But I know the guys for almost 4 years now and talked several times with them and that made me believe that those awesome guys are not some commercial dudes who want to get as many money they can get. These guys are pure musicians and they would never make any music that would gain the most money or make music that their fans wanted them to make. Evergrey's music is straight from the heart and it is music that they like to play themselves and I LOVE IT!!!

People get a good sleep and Stay Grey:headbang:

Been a fan since dark discovery and bought all albums till present day,
thought last album was too "easy-listening" , not that rough or aggressive
as expected.. still ok though.. Have heard some of the songs from the coming
record and it doesnt sound good.. too soft in my ears, few riffs here and there doesnt do it :/ ... Seems like EG is going downhill from here. Then again only my opinion, we'll see how it does. No wonder the dudes have side-projects where they can let their aggressiveness out... :)

Good Luck swe and fin in da hockey tonight!
