How close can I put them to my display/comp monitor. I got them about 10 1/2 inches on either side at the moment.

Acoustic correction need not apply. It's my bedroom set up. Never gonna sound that great anyways. :erk:

Well the only issue I think is either the magnets in the speakers wreaking havoc on your display's colors or interference from your display making annoying noises through your monitors - I'd say just keep moving it closer unless either one of those issues surfaces! And the magnets don't do any permanent damage to your display, so don't worry about that :)

That was my main concern. If thats the case then I think I'll leave them where there at. I was just a bit worried they where to close for safety. No noise there either so as long as the iMac 24 is safe I'm good. :)

Thanks dude.

No problem man! Though if you're using an imac, that throws another variable in the loop, namely your hard drive - I'm not sure how shielded they are (or the computer case), or how close a magnet has to be to do damage to data, but I know it is possible. What monitors are you using? If they have 5" drivers I think you'd be good, though anything bigger and I'd play it safe.

There 8" Events. Darn! now you guys got me worried again. They have been in this position for over 24 hours.(10 1/2 inches on either side) The monitors are supposed to be shielded. So far I still have a drive. :erk:

I wonder where the drive is in this comp. Been looking for pictures of the inside but can't find any yet.

beyond dead: Yes I am enjoying it. I would have never got an iMac for audio before now. She is sweet indeed. So far... flawless, fast, & smooth. I better hurry up and get that Apple care tho. If anything goes wrong, I wouldn't know how to get in it.

Edit: Moved them apart to 14".

What do you guys think about angling them in towards the listening spot? I've always kept them strait.

Theoretically they should be something like this.

Oh yeah, always best to have the tweeters (where all the directional frequences come from) pointing at your ears, so I usually point 'em right at me, then angle them just a bit out. And +1 Force666, equilateral triangle FTW.
