This album is the definition of epic.

Discuss.

I also love it. I bought it around this time last year and have just now absorbed eveything there is on here. It took awhile for me, but it was definately worth it.

Eh I didn't like it. The riffs came of as a little how should I say... not hearless, just too bulky, like they were created by the frat of the 12th century. And the vocals just really irked me after a while. Then again I'm not into much pure viking metal...

it's alright. it's nothing compared to say Falkenbach or viking-era Bathory.

I prefer Voimasta... over Kivenkantaja.

Yes, Falkenbach are very very good, but I prefer the monstrous sound of this album. I really think there is no other metal album that comes close to sounding as big and epic as this album.

And of course no other viking metal band even compares to viking-era Bathory.

Not really into Viking Metal but I do like it a lot, even if I don't listen to it very often. I can only really listen to a few tracks here and then instead of just sitting through the whole thing.

Tis great, but I prefer Suden Uni. Get the re-release of that record, it comes with a free DVD that contains some live songs and a hilarious promo video of "Sankarihauta" (as well as "Jumalten Kaupunki"). [/Pointless bump]
