This new song reminds me of the sound of Heretic, with the songwriting of Formulas, and a bit of the Covenant heaviness added in. It sounds more complex than anything on Heretic, and there seems to be a good amount of the, "falling note" sound Morbid Angel is famous for.

Overall, I like it. I need to hear a cleaner version before I stamp it approved, but after the first listen, I am very much anticipating this new release.

I'm definitely excited about it. They may not have another Covenant in them, but I'd wager they could still surpass anything new by Cannibal Corpse, Deicide, Malevolent Creation or any of their other Florida peers.

Yeah, this is exciting. I mean, it's not as good as anything on Covenant or Altars of Maddness, but the bar was set really high with those albums. It's just nice to see some real metal being produced.

I can't wait for the album, though - I'm getting it the second it becomes available.
