I don't know, I rarely listen to bands before 85. Btw, crappy sound =/= crappy music. You misunderstood me.Demilich said:yea, and all those wicked sounding bands of the 70s and 80s were just flukes right?
I'm thinking of setting up a folder for hard to find death/black/thrash CDs on my computer, to be accessed through FTP by other people. But I haven't figured out how to set the damn thing up yet. I'd be more than happy to have the CD uploaded to my computer. I really want to hear it.fotmbm said:I suppose whoever put it there chose to remove it again so someone give me FTP space and I'll upload it there... And the production is a bit heavy on the bass and easy on the middle-range frequencies but that's easily taken care of
Sounds like an excellent idea, I've got more stuff that would fit right in there too, live bootlegs and demos with Exodus, Assassin, Dark Angel etc as well as some pretty rare black metal stuffLife Sucks said:I'm thinking of setting up a folder for hard to find death/black/thrash CDs on my computer, to be accessed through FTP by other people. Well, do you know what I have to do to make a folder FTP accessible. Do I have to purchase any software?fotmbm said:Sounds like an excellent idea, I've got more stuff that would fit right in there too, live bootlegs and demos with Exodus, Assassin, Dark Angel etc as well as some pretty rare black metal stuff
Interesting to hear that coming from someone who prefers old/traditional metal over contemporary metal. This is by no means a flame, I just thought people who prefer old metal would prefer old fashioned, raw production along with it. I personally think that some of the classics would sound better with modern production. For instance, imagine how much heavier Stained Class would sound with modern production, especially fast aggressive tracks like Exciter.Jean-Pierre said:lol, stfu, OLD production is for OLD people. get with the TIMES, digital r00lz.
