Most beutiful moment in prog metal.

I think I seem to be alone in liking the 6 Degrees album. First prog album I ever listened to. Gees, brings back memories...

i love it. i'd find it hard to list only a few beautiful prog moments so here are a couple of my favourites from that album specifically;

Blind Faith - Piano solo at around 6:10

Disappear - Towards the end, up to and including the little touch of piano before the eerie outro. "So I'm moving on, I'll never forget as you lay there and watched me. Accepting the end, I knew you were scared. You were strong I was trying."

Also the chorus part of "Stonehenge - Fly"

"I am just a teardrop in God's eye,
Let me spread my wings and learn to fly,
Unwear all this human flesh and rise,
Ride the endless highways of the skies..."

I am being a little shameless here but my post vanished as the last post in the page before, sorry for queting my own post :Spin:

I love Stream of Passion's "I'll keep on Dreaming". Especially the part where it gets heavy near the end of it. There's more of an emotional feeling made by the joining in of the instruments and Marcela's variation of the chorus there the last time she sings "Why did I ever think you'd come back to me". Of course you have to listen to the whole song to really enjoy that sort of build up.

Edit: Actually that last time that line is sung, the lyrics change slightly to "Why did I ever think you'd never leave me"

Opeth - Bleak

The break featuring Steven Wilson, including the brilliant transition to cookie monster vocals later on.

Dream Theater - Octavarium.

The ending guitar solo.

Dream Theater - Pull Me Under

05:30, the mellow break and build-up, with the guitar solo following it. Awesome, especially the keyboard lead, great tone.

If there's gonna be simething from Images and Words, it might as well be my #2, the entire instrumental break in the middle of Metropolis 1.
