Which album is the most depressive to you? i would have to say MAYH for me.

MAYH, but Opeth arent very depressive. If I want some extremely emotive, despondent music, I'll listen to Xasthur or Abyssic Hate.

Maybe Morningrise... not really sure. Probably not Orchid. Morningrise or Still Life. I wish I'd had 'The Night and the Silent Water' to help me get through my grandfather's death. But then SL has such a tragic concept.. ahh.. goddamn you Opeth. :)

damnation, hands down, i listen to that when i am depressed, also parts of BWP and MAYH

and i think the word being looked for in the title is depressing, not depressive.

I think there's a clear difference between depressing music and what Opeth play. Deep and dramatic maybe but not depressing. If you want to listen to a Sweedish band that will depress you put on any ABBA cd.

Orchid or Damnation. You'd think that Morningrise should be, with it's strong loss theme and deep emotion. But in some small way I find a glimmer of hope within the music.

My arms your hearse is to aggressive to be depressing.
