what is the best movie(s) you've ever seen?

i think "braveheart" and "lord of the rings" are the best movies i've seen. mel gibson is one of my favorite actors, along with britney spears (sarcasm) and jim carrey (lol)

good movies:

dances with wolves

monty python (the holy grail, and life of brian)
ace ventura 2 (haha)

there are alot of good movies out there!

I must admit that,

Gladiator
Lord Of The Rings
Excalibur

must be amongst my faves too.

I also enjoyed Braveheart but it didn't make any sense chronologically and was a bit too Americanised but it was still a good film.

I also like any of the Star Wars films
and a few others that spring to mind are:

Conan The Barbarian
The 13th Warrior
Dumb And Dumber
Shawshank Redemption

and the Awesome original HIGHLANDER! (I even like the some of the Queen soundtrack but if anyone laughs I'll decapitate them lol)

"Willow" was pretty cool although I haven't seen it for years. Never seen "The Princess Brise".

The original "DeathStalker" was great in a B-movie kind of way.

An American Werewolf In London (Paris sucked because of the wolf fx)

The Howling

The Car (Cult movie, hard o find but I've got it on DVD.)

Trick or Treat (Great metal horror mmusic by Fastway)

That's just some I love, but I could wrie a list as long as an encyclopedia hehehehe

Some of the greatest movies I can think of right now are Lord of the Rings, Shawshank Redemption and Usual Suspects.

And of course Gladiator, Braveheart and Highlander are great too.

I'll have to look up "Princess Bride".

"Reign of Fire" does rock too! It's the only film I've seen that portrays Dragons the way I've always imagined them - majestic and all powerful!

Also years back (probably early 80s) I saw this animated film about Dragons. I can't remember the name, the plot or anything but I think it involved some chap becoming trapped inside a dragon's body and that the army of dragons had to fight Ogre's or something alike. Actually now I think about it, this film probably nerver existed and I just dreamt it or something!

Since we're talking about animated films, does anyone remember "The Last Unicorn"?

I only remember parts, mostly the unicorn fighting an enormous bull made of lava or fire. And at the end, she joins er family either in the cean or by the ocean.

Hi Eagle,

I don't need a copy of Death Stalker as I have an ex-rental copy somewhere.

That animated film with Dragons...could it be "Flight of Dragons"? I've not seen it myself but my girlfriend keeps going on about it - it was her favourite film when she was younger.
