Thought this might be an interesting thread - you must have memories if playing particular computer games while listening to certain songs, and it probably takes you right back to that time when you hear the song. Here's some of mine, anyone got any of their own?

Early years -
Liverpool Football Club,"Liverpool Rap" - Kangaroo on the Atari 2600

Middle Years -
Metallica "And Justice For All" - Antiriad on the Commodore 64
Megadeth "Tornado Of Souls" - Rick Dangerous 2 on C64
Metallica "The God That Failed" - Defenders of the Earth on C64 (it was shite)

Later Years
WASP - "Still Not Black Enough" - UFO:Enemy Unkown on Playstation
Anthrax - "Random Acts of Senseless Violence" - V-Rally on Playstation

and recently I'll probably have memories of
Jethro Tull - "Roots To Branches" - Republic, The Revoloution on PC

Anyone? :)

Gran Turismo

Creed - Higher
Creed - With Arms Wide Open
Garbage - I Think I'm Paranoid
Stone Temple Pilots - Sex Type Thing
Rob Zombie - Dragula

Twisted Metal

Rob Zombie - Meet The Creeper
Rob Zombie - Superbeast
Pitchshifter - Microwaved

I actually downloaded a few HammerFall songs once solely for listening to while playing my Knight character on EverQuest... daaammmn that was a long time ago.
Other than that, I like to listen to:

-Children of Bodom, Nightwish, Bathory while playing The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time (N64)
-Dimmu Borgir, Satyricon, Immortal while playing Unreal Tournament (PC)
-Dissection, Emperor while playing Baldur's Gate (PlayStation2)
-The Kovenant while playing various James Bond/spy games (N64, PlayStation2)
-Children of Bodom, Dimmu Borgir sometimes while playing Grand Theft Auto III/Vice City ... though I often listen to the in-game radio, that's some funny shit  (PlayStation2)

and very recently, I've been listening to Stormlord and Nightwish a lot while playing Doom III.

Flotsam & Jetsams Dreams of Death and Misguided Fortune I remember listening to a lot with Diablo II.

Metallica's Kill Em All is an album I listen to a lot in Ton yHAwk Underground, as well as Peace Sells by Megadeth.

I listen to Death a lot while playing Counterstrike.

When I hear A Perfect Circle I think of Super Mario World. Lamb of God goes along with Donkey Kong Country. Sometimes Opeth MAYH or Still Life makes me think of Tony Hawk. Dan Swano's Moontower reminds of a DBZ mod I had for Quake III.

And the best one is Lovefool by the Cardigans making me remember playing Diablo. :)

Ah yes, Donkey Kong Country, I'm reminded of that when I play Divine Intervention by Slayer.
Stunt Race Fx and Super Metroid are also though of when I hear Never Mind The Bollocks.

So many memories! :Spin:

Liverpool FC as hot as hell
United, Tottenham, Arsenal
Watch my lips, and I will spell
'Cause they don't just play but they can rap as WELL!

And you wonder why I hate Liverpool FC.

Megadeth's Rust in Peace reminds me of 'Oh Mummy' and 'Annals of Rome' for the Amstrad.

Det Som Engang Var brings up memories of Unreal Tournament 2003 in the back of my mind.

Wasn't Pitchshifter's W.Y.S.I.W.Y.G. in it as well?

I use my Xbox custom soundtracks a lot so here goes:

Counter-Strike:
Death - Leprosy (album)
Carcass - Heartwork (album)

Deathrow:
Fear Factory - Hi-Tech Hate
Vader - Black To The Blind (album)

Amped 2:
Cannibal Corpse - Crushing The Despised, When Death Replaces Life, Savage Butchery, Pounded Into Dust
Suffocation - Effigy Of The Forgotten (album)

Jet Set Radio Future/Jet Grind Radio:
Whatever songs were on those soundtracks, because they're the kinds that stay in your mind

Well I was a big Liverpool fan at the time :worship: (my grandfather was from Liverpool and him and my uncle got me hooked - that and the European trophies!) and I fucking loved that song. John Barnes was good in it, but that was before he started all the wife beating carry on. :hypno: I think the Stutter Rap was out around the same time. That was cool too.
I was about 9 at the time.
Clearly.
