Recently I have listened lots of Katatonia, PL and stuff. I felt my music being influenced by them, however lately over the last few weeks I have suddenly noticed a shift in what I write. I haven't listened to anything new. There is still a formula within' it. But my words are more like statements, and the music has become quite different, almost a bit experimental.
eg . "If our pain was all burned, what will we have learned?"
I think that talking about how we have all been influnced is important but Katatonia arrived at their complete style due to something else, call it creative talent maybe, but I still think it's something deeper, within' our souls.
