iv a question maybe someone here can help
i need a new Stage Amp cause my previews stage amp wasnt mine and i cant borrow it any more(Marshall AVT100X)

so im looking for a new amp, but i only have a budget of €300...maybe €350,-(500USD)
any suggestions i should look for...i searched for Marshall but those are just way to expensive.
and i dont need an amp with lots effects on it and stuff cause i got a big pedalbord...i just need something with a full good sound.

Save your money for a used Peavey 5150 or 6505 and a Marshall 1960 cab. You should be able to get both used for around 1000-1200 USD.

Although it should be noted the 5150 is good for harsh metal and nothing else. And try as I might I could get no acceptable clean tone from it.

i have a peavey 5150 halfstack (4x12) and that thing is FUCKING LOUD!!!!! and it sounds great

there isn't a huge difference between the Peavey 5150 and II, just II has a better clean channel imo.



i got mine used for $300 from a guy in seattle (a friend of jeffs)

Yeah 5150 if you're just looking for crunch. If you need a crunch and clean, get yourself a JSX. I have one and I love it.

Agreed Altitude, the 5150 ll has a better clean channel, but it's about as clean as my sister meatdumpster after a Sunday night of drinking bowling pin beers with cruster's and...sorry..not funny I know but my sister has seen more cock ends than weekends..

I don't need the clean channel on my 6505+, as I use the 4 cable method from my GT-8. Pristine and perfect cleans straight from the processor and then bone crushing heaviness from my amp.

I think you should go 5150 combo, or XXX combo if you need cleans.

You'll only find pretty shitty half stacks for 500 USD and just end up hating them, although the peavey valve king is nice.

I'd also look on ebay for a user Yamaha T-50 or T-100, which is basically a Soldano SLO clone, but for way less.
