Need an Amp!

Yeah i need to get an amp, and i need to get it now,
My budget is around $1000 Aus, a little bit over wont kill me.
Could you give me some suggestions for good amps around this price.
Something gig ready (doesnt have to be a monster just louder then drums at full blast) and with built in heavy distortion, fx doesnt matter.
I was looking at a Marshall AVT100 Guitar Amp With 12Ax7, but it was from america and they wanted over $400 US postage, fuckers. All suggestions much appreciated.

Your thread says that you NEED an amp.
If $1000 is your budget and you "need" it (for a gig or something), then go to billy hydes music or wherever, and hire a GOOD amp. It will be alot cheaper.
I bought an Avt100, i wish i had that $950 back............

Just keep saving dude.
