My Beautiful Harp Recording (Silent Night)

Hey guys, last week I got the chance to record a harpist for the first time ever, and it went pretty good. It was pretty similar to micing up a piano or acoustic guitar, I did a spaced x/y configuration with my modded Oktava MC012's, and recorded the harps internal mic with my Countryman Type85 DI.

gorgeous stuff. theres something annoying going on at 1khz, but aside from that, it sounds pretty perfect to me

Thanks for the comments guys! I don't have any pics, but the lady who recorded this will be coming back sometime in the future so I'll take pics then. The ambiance you hear is wizoverb with piano hall preset I think.

Gareth, it definitely sounds better with the 1k scooped out a bit. I think that is coming from the internal mic, thanks for pointing that out!

Yeah, that was what I thought it would be.
You know electric acoustic guitars when they're DI'd have this weird sort of, uncomfortably up-front, in your face sound, very similar.

Post an updated version! I wanna hear this sans 1khz annoyance!
