Where is the best place to catch some metal shows? in my gay ass town of bedminster all you ever hear about is punk show's.

Yeah, Metalfest has a killer lineup this year. I'm from central Jersey and I'm really not sure where Bedminster is. Give me your general location (other towns, highway exits, etc) and maybe I can help you out.
Im right by route 287. and a hop and a skip frm 202 and 206. I would got o metal meltdown but im not really familiar with most of the bands. should i go jsut to get exposed to some new material ( new to me at least) and for the sake of getting my ass kicked in the mosh ?

i'm from north jersey and i usually only hear about shows (good ones anyway) at like birch hill.. i think theres somewhere in clifton that has metal sometimes though

I've lived in New Jersey since 1978, when I was but a wee little tyke, and here's what I know:
Places to see metal shows in NJ:
Obsessions, Randolph, NJ (not terribly far from Bedminster, but not too many shows)
Birch Hill Niteclub, Old Bridge, NJ (also not terribly far, but the other direction, almost always all ages shows, no booze)
Club Krome, South Amboy, NJ (never been there, but I think they're all ages as well)
I'm sure there are more as well, but those are the 3 that come to mind.
If you REALLY want to see some good stuff, as in most national tours that come through the USA, you have to go to NYC. Metal shows are regularly booked at:
WWE The World
Irving Plaza
B.B. King's Blues Club
Roseland Ballroom
Good luck, and get your butt to the Metal Meltdown coming up in early March!
