how long did it take you to be able to play those leads? i can play most of them,(and sorry to all of you guitar players out there...it is embarrassing, i admit,) but i have loads of trouble reading tabs. i mean...i know how to read tabs, its just when it comes to certain lead parts, like shit alexi does, i will get lost very easily. its just like, notes everywhere and i just get overwhelmed by the shit, or i will try to play it and it sounds completely wrong, because i cant piece it together properly. sometimes i can seem to break them down into peices, then put them together and try to form the lead parts, but its still a problem for me. this is the main reason that i improv solos. and i know alot of people imporv, but some things dont even need to be. but the thing is, if i am watching someone play, or if they show me something in person, face to face, then i can get it down pretty well.
i have PowerTab, but the shit is still pretty crazy. i dont know maybe i just suck at reading tabs to leads and solos. but does anyone else have this problem?

Of course, what would really help you is to learn music theory, then everything will make sense much faster than now.
what wings said.. and you always have to play it slow at first, slow, then work your way up.. it might take alot of time, but be patient, thats what I do.. I usualy just learn the first 2-5 bars (the first 5 seconds or something like that) then I work my way up to the next 2-5 bars etc.. Bars, as in the bars on guitar pro...Jani Laiho said:
