My first ever 5150 recording test.

First time recording my new amp. Lemme know what you think. Don't mind the slopp just threw some riffs together lying around to check out my current setup.

I can't seem to get it to sound crispy any help?

what were your settings? seems like there are too many mids in there that make it muddy...

Dude, post your settings so we can help a little, definitely sounds like there is too much midrange in there, also where did you mic the cab? what cab did you use?

It was low 6. 5 Mid 5 Treble 5.5 pre was at like 6. 57 on a mesa cab. T.S was used. basically the same shit everyone else does except it sounds shitty when I take it out of cubase. It sounded good in the room and coming through the monitors it sounded decent.

Hmm, if it sounded good in your monitors, then you must have done something really bad in cubase with it.

i didn't do anything though which is why I am puzzled. I literally recorded it, then just fucked with a little eq and then that was that.

Sm57 mesa cab no impulses, I don't even know how to use impulses.
