I'm not happy with it. I wonder if you guys can help me figure out why it sounds so bad. I really like the eq effect it has, but the guitars just have such a harshness to them. I've tried compressing using the onboard daw compressor for Cubase SX3, and also the Gmulti compressor. I'm also using the OurCabinetSimulator with the Mesa 2 cab. My guitar is an ESP MH-1000nt with Seymour Duncan JB, and '59 pickups. I'm also using a presonus tube pre amp, a toneport with the mesa dual rectifier setting. I mastered it with ozone 3. I'm really new to the impulses so maybe i'm missing some big factor I don't know.

Good news, you don't have to give up recording and the internet.

first, you need a gate on all those guitars. Hum is a dead giveaway of an amateur mix.
second, forget mastering until you can get a good mix.
third, eq will remove fizz. Two narrow notch filters in the highs should take care of that. The freqs and Q settings will change for every amp and cab combination.
