Rainbow- Man on the Silver Mountain. It may not be as heavy as some of Richie's DP material or some other Dio-era Rainbow, but my God what a riff!

Simon and Garfunkel- The Boxer. Excellent lyrics as usual, and I love the way it starts off as a mellow sounding acoustic piece then spirals into an orchestral epic

Queensryche- The Killing Words. I have three different versions of this and I can't get enough of any of them. It took me a while to appreciate Rage For Order, but this song really helped me get into it.

The Police- King of Pain. A long forgotten favourite that I've been listening to a lot in the last few days. If I could write lyrics as good as that I'd be a much richer man :).

Into Eternity - Elysium Dream.... I dunno why, I love all their songs that I've heard, but this one just grabbed me!

Cryptopsy - Cold Hate, Warm Blood.... my pissed off at the world song, it works well! hehe

Strapping Young Lad - All of City..... again, this album has let me vent alot lately, so I can't single any one song out

For the love of god Spawny.... the BAND NAME goes first.

On a happier note though, Mr. Rainmaker is definitely my favourite song on Cherry Pie.

It's awesome! :headbang:

Mr Rainmaker don't waste no time...
Coz I found a girl who is permanent sunshine
She is the little queen of all my dreams
Carry on, and find someone else to rain on

A little cheesy lyrically but what a great, catchy, melodic fuckin' song! Definitely my highlight of that album!

I also think Blind Faith is criminally underrated!

I think everything can cliched if you put it under the microscope - be it light or extreme.

I still reckon Dog Eat Dog is their best album as a whole. I know you like Dirty Rotten..that one didnt grab me personally. It's good you like Crown of Thorns too. There's one particular song called RAIN they do that is amazing. It might be on Raw Thorns? I know I have it on the bonus disc with the second album. But I agree the debut rules!

Opeth - A Fair Judgement
Opeth - To bid you Farewell (Will go buts if they play this tomorrow night)
Queensryche - Revolution Calling (Not my fave album off Mindcrime, but it was pumping on the way to work this morning. Great song, great album)
Incubus - Drive

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh yeah there is a song on the bonus disc of the 2nd album that I heard, can't remember what its called, could have been Rain maybe that rings a bell - and it was AWESOME!

Yeah DRFSR is by far my fave Warrant album :headbang:
