Rainbow- Man on the Silver Mountain. It may not be as heavy as some of Richie's DP material or some other Dio-era Rainbow, but my God what a riff!
Simon and Garfunkel- The Boxer. Excellent lyrics as usual, and I love the way it starts off as a mellow sounding acoustic piece then spirals into an orchestral epic
Queensryche- The Killing Words. I have three different versions of this and I can't get enough of any of them. It took me a while to appreciate Rage For Order, but this song really helped me get into it.
The Police- King of Pain. A long forgotten favourite that I've been listening to a lot in the last few days. If I could write lyrics as good as that I'd be a much richer man .
