My friend doesn't like VS because....

I must agree to the above said, it would be rather strange if I had a accent that was totally without Swedish origin. I never try to be something that I'm not,so............

mr V

I LOVE the Swedish accent that he does :)
I think Swedish is a great language and sounds very good !
I remember when I first listen to Vintersorg/Thyrfing, I loved it.
I would like to use to advantage and ask to the Swedish friends on this board: How is the correct way to pronounce "Thyrfing" ??

NP: Virgin Steele - A Symphony of Steele

Yes. This reason he gave me is probably the worst crap I've ever
heard for not liking an artist...
Worst part is that this person is well travelled within the world of
'extreme' music. And he's always open minded. This just came like
... from out of nowhere. Opinions opinions...
Stuff like that just makes me wonder....

@Invictus - I agree totally \m/ :D \m/

ha ha - yeah. Well, I know he's heard russian bands. Like Rakoth.
I'm almost sorry I posted this, 'cause like Morgana said, it's really
ridiculous. But it kinda pissed me of when he stated this..
You know, I haven't even thought about it before myself. I was
used to his voice in Swedish, and when I heard him doing
Eenglish, it was just like... yeah, thats VS singing in English, so
what. It's the same voice, just in English. Why the heck should
that bother me. And it's great too, this is one of the things that makes VS VS....
Perhaps we should just cut this thread so that no other fools
starts thinking about the same  ;)

:Smokedev:

Ah! But the swedish accent is so nice!
I think it adds something to the music
and the songs.... But that is just me.

I know that things like that can get
very annoying, even though you're
openminded to a lot of things...)

If there is _one_ little thing in a song
that you don't like you might never
listen to the band again...

Weird, but that's life... :eek:P

His voice sounds like the singer to a band called Crash Test Dummies that was popular (at least in America) for a while with a song called "Mmmmm".

Good song indeed... Gets me right back to the days of wonder... Nah.. Actually those days where quite miserable... But songs such as that reminds me of how much of my life I own to these songs... They made my days in school better, since I didn´t need anything but music...:) Ahhhh... Thank you Crash Test Dummies!

On topic: Your friend can come listen to my english, and if he dares to laugh... I´ll show him evil!!

Actually, it is a proven fact that Vintersorg ain´t for everyone.. If he can´t get it, then let him be that way... Many of my friends can´t get it, and they listen to almost every other band I like... I guess you have to be some kind of super-chupi human beeing...;)

-phyros ( super-chupi :hotjump: )

Hmmm, actually, isn't it just possible that if Vintersorg has a strong accent (which is more of benfit for the music), that we who live in either Sweden, Norway or Germany wouldn't notice that much like someone who lives somewhere, where English is the native tongue and propably find it cause of this fact less disturbing? Well, I wouldn't mind some english singer trying to sing a song in German (but who would do that, anyway... besides Manowar  ) it has something good to it when someone sings in a different language so more than just fellow countrymen would understand!!
