Especially since Matt changed the direction on this one, and went with a 70 minute long epic song titled "Anti Climatic Disturbances in Eating Pizza". The first 5 minutes of the song, is just the sound of Matt chewing. It's epic.

Hahaha guys! I think I can wait a bit longer without dying...
Plus the Symphony X album wait...if we're talking about Paradise Lost...wasn't worth the wait. That's just my opinion. It seemed like The Odyssey again (which is my second favorite of theirs), but with the coolest stuff taken out. I didn't like the guitar tones, lyrics, overall sound, or anything else about it. Russell, who is one of my favorites, just sounded boring on this one - too scruffy, too much. His varying voices are one of the things that makes him great.
In fact, I bought that CD and a Randy Travis CD at the same time (I was going to learn "Three Wooden Crosses"). The next day I took the Symphony X back and got my money back - and kept the Randy Travis. And I don't even like country music. SYX has definitely hit their plateau if you ask me. Anyone else agree?
I'm sure the new Theocracy album will be at least as good as the last two if not better. I can't wait!

I'm more irritated that Dream Theater hasn't announced their new drummer yet, despite already having started recording.

I thought Paradise Lost was worth the wait, mostly. It's not my favorite Symphony X album, but overall I enjoyed it. The Walls of Babylon and Revelation are two of the best Symphony X songs ever. I can see how it wasn't some people's cup of tea though.
But yeah, I would hope it doesn't take as long as PL - and there's no reason to think it would. But hey, if it does it does. As I said in another thread, I'd rather see Theocracy take a long time to release their next album then to rush it and have it not be all that it could have been.
Well, as long as it doesn't turn out to be anything on the scale of Wintersun's "Time", at least. (Coming Fall 2075! Maybe!)

They're more then likely using a session drummer right now. While still looking for a permanent replacement.

I feel like if they're still looking for a permanent drummer, they would have let Portnoy rejoin when he asked.
Actually... he sorta did...
You see... M. Shadows wasn't too happy about how he was whining to the press... I agree that he's outta their leauge... but they did sorta say in their own way, "we dont need you anymore... and on top of it... too much drama!"
So ya... he'll find something better to do in my opinion.

ok, i'm sorry but i think that a drummer for a little kid's punk band would be out of A7X's league....just saying....Nightmare was the only album i liked anything off of and i think its just because of Portnoy that those songs came out so well....oh, and i think Porntoy's kinda being a loser about everything too....ok, done with my little rant now
