"Maybe not" is right. iPods will die a lot quicker than many other mp3 players, it's pretty much just known. Apple got sued because the first run models (awesome, the one I have) are basically faulty. The consumers won, and Apple, being the douche bags they are, gave us all an opportunity to redeem a $50 gift certificate to the Apple online store. I said "fuck you", gave my monitor the finger, and closed the browser.

Yeah, unfortunately...battery life is disappointing. Last time, mine last 13 hours...

Well, I got my first one in January of 2005. It stopped working, no reason at all. After paying $30 to fill my warranty, the next one was probably about a year later. Roughly a month after that, it stopped working. Never dropped it, never did anything. Just wouldn't work. Under my warranty for the last time after I paid another $30, I got my current iPod. It's been about 7-10 months, I'd guess. If I try to get another one, I'll go for a Creative Zen.
