my latest mix (with music video) real amps, real drums blablabla

Sounds like these guys like Parkway Drive a lot
cool video!
and the mix is also nice, considering beeing done in one day.
....but why tracking with a Valveking when theres some Rectifier standing in the background? ;)

Now that's just bad luck I guess haha
even If I've heard some good sound from the valveking...
this one isnt bad, bad it could be better, I guess that's why your not sooooo happy with it.
But it's anyway really nice to listen to it, so fuck it ;)

God screamers without microphones look so retarded.

Not your best mix but decent for so quick. Missing a lot in the lowmids/lows, and could have done with some more production or something, the music is quite bland :/

The drums sound cool :) Guitars sound ok but I don't like the character (too bad you didn't have the recto or 6505). Not a big fan of the video and the song but I like the video quality.

forget to mention: Mastering was for Vinyl...
the production company told me to dont go crazy with the lowend...

I wished I had the time to do 2 mixes. One for vinyl and one for itunes:erk:

The drummer got a crazy good snare but he wanted it to be sample replaced with another?!?!?!
Good thing is I always make my snare sounds with close mic, compressed room and OH, so the real snare makes up 50% of the sound....

Realy dont like the valve king....

Lot of Parkway Drive in there for sure, although the Vocals and the overall mix sounds too "clean" in my opinion. Not that I don't like it, but it just needs some rough feel to it.

Agree with Morgan, Shouter without Mics look stupid ;)

Video is not that bad for an amateur production.

pretty rough sounding, but excellent mixing job monsieur! ;-)

guitars are a little blurry but that
adds to the roughness, which could be called "stylistic element" hehe.

what i really dont liuke is the bad intonation on guitar... speaking of that i had to teach
my last clients vibrato while tracking.... goddamn, nowadays everyone picks up the guitar. and only 1 % does actually listen to themselves... haha.

but again ! - nice one!

Your are totaly right!!!!
The guitar player is great, but he just pulls the strings in a strange way:erk:
No time to teach him because we tracked two songs on one day.....

hehe, + this should not be your job!

but then again nowadays this is what we're asked to do.
in the past i let the player play a chord, then i tune the guitar while
he holds the chord, hten record, then same thing for next chord...

a lot of guitar players bend the strings without noticing,
and esp. in higher registers fuck up the intonation.
reaalyy ugly with 3rds....
