My Latest Mixes.....

OK

So recorded a local band last week (except the vocalist). Was pretty impressed by the drummer, the guitarists could do with some work, but they are only young so we did the best we could with them. Ended up being one guitarist doing most of the rhythms, and the other doing most of the leads. I think the songwriting could do with a bit of practice too, but as I said before, we will let them off for now. Tracked everything at mine, put some DIY baffles around the kit. Any feedback would be cool. If anyone wants any details, just ask:

Sounds like some awful flams on the drums a few times. The drummer could be a lot tighter whe he goes fast, and the whole band has got some pretty obvious performance issues, but thats got nothing to do with the mix. I think the whole mix sounds pretty godd. A bit dry maybe. I like dry mixes, but it needs some "gel".
I like the guitar sounds and I can definitely hear that it would sound a lot better with more acomplished musicians.
