That's the degree....Nurse practitioner is a "focus" you have while getting the degree. There are other ones. Some are clinical, some are educational, some are administrative.
The Nurse Practitioner is also the certification one gets after passing a Boards exam.
My focus was Family and after passing Boards and filing shitloads of paperwork with the State I'll be a Family Nurse Practitioner.
