My new little toy(and clip)...

I jsut exchanged my ENGL Blackmore against a three channel Dual rectifier!
Got home like an hour ago and put the mic on it from the start.

I haven't mixtured anything with mic positions and setting. Maybe you guys can share some settings?

It's actually my third rectifier through the years but it must've been 5-6 years since I last owned one.

Here is the clip with Savage and Recto mixed(I seldom do 4 track of guitars) Just recorded the ENGL over the Rectifier and panned them in just a bit.

Should be good starting point...TS helps tighten it up.

Clip sounds pretty damned good on crappy work speakers. What settings did you use for this?

Somewhat similar to what I used in this clip:

Presence: 11:30
Bass: 11:30
Mid: 10
Gain: 12
Treble: 12

Also used a Maxon OD 808 with following settings:
Overdrive: 9
Balance: 12
Tone: 12

Try the orange channel, I prefer its midrange to the red's these days.

No I put like 400 euros in the deal. But I still think it's a good deal. It's 2 years old. New tubes were put in 4 months ago, the rectifier footswitch was included. Also I got more money out of the Blackmore than I paid when I bought it so.

All in all I'm very happy with the deal
