Should the word be censored. Either way I don't think it should be designated to a single races' use. Why should blacks being able to call eachother my pals? I mean it's not like you hear jews calling other jews kikes.

I am a long-haired white guy and I live in LA (lower Alabama) so I deal with a lot of black people everyday. The way I look at it is that I don't deal with "black people" though..... I personally don't care about your race (as my wife is Japanese) but I treat everyone as an individual. You have good and bad in all races. The individuals in the black race that likes to call each other "my pals" have little respect for themselves.

Asking whether or not "my pals" is a "bad word" is completely unanswerable. Context, tone of deliverance, and body language play as much of a part in relaying thought as actual phonetics do. When anyone (black or white or mexican or whatever) uses it to poke fun (at black culture, stereotypes, and racism), its harmless. When it's used to seriously attack blacks, it is a "bad word".
