Adagio-Mainly because the new CD kicks all kinds of ass.
Iced Earth-I'm sure many of us would love to hear Tim Owens live with Iced Earth, and the epic on the new CD would be a nice encore
Sonata Arctica-Lots of good press, just an all around feel good band.
Theocracy (if Matt can put together a touring band that gels well)-Excellent sound and some great choruses and harmonies, lots of nice buzz from the promo CD too apparently.
Savatage-Its Savatage for chrissakes!
Hammerfall-Can anyone think of something better than a band where the lead singer wears a suit of armor and the drummer has a quadruple bass?
Stratovarius-The new CD has a nice proggish edge, would like to see some of it live in the states.
Sonata Arctica would definetly be worth the trip next year. I posted my list before, but I'd like some other bands too such as Stratovarius, Therion, Anathema, Opeth, damn.. too many fucking bands...
Enchant
Savatage
Iced Earth
Arena
Archetype
Labyrinth
Ayreon/Star One
Therion (don't even need a full orchestra. In fact I don't think they have ever worked with a full orchestra... someone correct me if I'm wrong there)
1. Shaman...and I think they are pretty high on Glen's list as I could be wrong but there was hope/talk of them playing PP 2. If Angra made their debut at PP, why not Shaman? (the closest thing to what Angra was originally had they not changed their style)
2. John Arch ...if he'd be able to/want to do it his EP is my favorite disc this year. And/or Fates Warning as a headliner.
Returning bands:
Superior
Pain of Salvation
Zero Hour
Enchant (if the finances would allow. Maybe their recent European tour helped?)
Andromeda
Dead Soul Tribe
I Mother Earth
Shadow Gallery (but the chances are so little since they've never played 1 live show. Probably for $ reasons. They even declined an invitation to NEARFest in 2000 which was only miles away from their hometown in PA)
Grave Digger
Brainstorm
Children of Bodom
Masterplan
Nocturnal Rites
Adagio
Lost Horizon
Dark Moor (if they get the original lineup back)
Stratovarius (only if they played old stuff only...doubt that would happen though)
DGM
I'm kind of like the "oddball band" guy, I like straightforward power/prog, and expect the majority of bands to fit comfortably into that description. Nonetheless, my personal tastes generally run towards the oddballs...
Sentenced
Opeth
Vintersorg
The Gathering
and traditional...
Running Wild (good wholesome PIRATE METAL!)
Superior
