My slayin´warmachine!!!

Not mine, but my sister's great pyr...although he thinks I belong to him, instead of the other way around. LOL Just an overgrown, 150 pound cream puff.

My Ex had one of these dogs... it was f'n huge, and it had a bad temper (raised by a hyper-active 8 year old kid). It was still fun to play with when it wasn't cranky.

Vader2.jpg

This is Vader. (yes, I'm a Star Wars geek!) Terrorizer of birds, rabbits, squirrels, badgers, Irish Wolf hounds, and cougars! (no bullshit.... the little hellion actually corned a cougar once!) He was 25 pounds & thought he was 10 times that size! Jack Russell bred the ultimate killing machine and girls think they're 'cute.'

Vader was my first dog, and unfortunately contracted lymphoma last spring & died at the age of 7. (Jacks usually live to 14-15) My wife & I don't have children, so this was pretty rough. I cried like a 10 year old. I'll miss the little guy.:waah:

Condolences to everyone posting earlier who lost a pet. It sucks.

Excellent pooches. I have a golden retreiver as well, Murphy.

Here he is with my daughter:

Hahaha, they're both adorable, and I love those dark goldens - so have you gotten your daughter baptized yet? :heh:

And Ryan, that pic of Nugget with the bird is both hilarious and terrifying! :D

goddamn guys you got beautiful dogs ;)
I love them all, yeah you're making me want to get a pooch, maybe I'll get one from kennels, there are too many dogs over there needing a home ;)
Unfortunately I don't know what's the situation in your countries, but at christmas, people present puppies, when it's summer time people instead of taking the dogs with them they leave them, causing even car accident because they leave these poor dogs near motorway on the way to the vacation place.
It sucks I hate these assholes!
I remember when there was the movie 101 dalmatians (1996 movie) all bought a puppy of those, soon as it's was summertime it was a mess.... so they left their "best friend".
If you don't have the time don't buy a dog! goddamn it!
ah kinda sucks

Look's like this turned into a "Show your Pet" thread... so I can't resist. Here's my boy!! Nugget, the destroyer of small animals...

My chucky did it all the time, it took the bird home to me and it was more of a "hey see I have taken somethig for ya" and I was always disgusted lol
I mean he did it just to let me know he was a hunter lol
my poor little cat, I miss ya! :(

Damn..I´m so sorry, dude!! Your dog looks great on the photo..i´m sure he was a good boy. My dog is 13 years old and I know, he will die in the next years. I try to displace this thought...but that´s life. We cannot do anything against it.

I know how all you guys feel, a pet becomes part of the family I cried loads when my last dog had to be put down, we all did. But now I've got a puppy who's only 15 weeks old, so I've got hopefully a decade and a half of her to enjoy.

Only picture i have of my dogs are these ones..

she isn't mouldy..just the owners we bought her off were horrible bastards. but shes amazing dog, full of life!

both of these pictures are pretty old.. they're pretty full size now, Ben is nearly 1 year old and Molly is 6 or 7 months old.

I hear ya Mauri, but pooches are a labor of love, let me tell ya! Here's some Rufus pics from when he was a puppy (Feb. '03):

Looks like I missed some great stuff here. Well Marcus, Rufus definitely has the awwwwwww factor. LOL

Weird Grywolf, I've got one too, but he's not so huge.

Great dogs, aren't they? I love pyrs. Here's a puppy picture of him:

CeliniVillon4.jpg

The big one isn't a pry. He is a maremma. They're the Italian cousin of the pyr. Just a LITTLE bit smaller. But much more territorial and aggressively defend their flock (or owners). But just a big fluffy teddy bear with their family. He started out as a puppy crawling in my lap and falling asleep, and kept trying that until about 120 pounds. When he found it easier to just lay next to me (without me yelling to GET OFF while gasping for air). LOL Actually, he was the closest thing to a best friend to me that a dog can be (died about 5 years ago).

Nugget is always sure to show me his catch, I've been told that's a sign of admiration... but he eats nearly everything he catchs... that's my BOY!!

... although he can't always keep it all down.

And just for shit's and giggles, here's Nugget, and his sister Goji.
