I've been spinning a lot of bands from this era lately, and man, what a great time period for music. Sure, we know all the heavys like Priest and Maiden but I'm digging more of the lesser appreciated albums right now.
Feel free to post any suggestions for listening. All recommendations are appreciated.
Here are some I've been enjoying:

Never considered Priest part of the NWOBHM, they predated it. The years of acceptance is 78-83, 64 is stretching. Then again people often toss Motorhead and Priest under the banner and bands that came out in '85 and '86. But why not be loose with the years when the term itself used loosely to rounded up every English band around that time regardless if they sounded like Venom or sounded like Bad Company.

Just off the top of my head, here are some essentials:

Angel Witch: s/t
Cloven Hoof: s/t
Diamond Head: Lightning to the Nations (aka the White album)
Savage: Loose n' Lethal
Demon: Night of the Demon
Saxon: Wheels of Steel/Strong Arm of the Law
White Spirit: s/t (better yet, the Castle Anthology)

Think I have a couple left. And I recommend Kent Rokcs/ It's Unheard of I am out of it right now but do have more coming in.

Bleak House - Suspended Animation
Mythra - Death and Destiny
Voltz - Knight's Fall

Hmm, tell me about these releases, if you would please (objective as you can!) :) Packaging, sound quality and such. If they look and/or sound like bootlegs that stinks, if not, I may try to squeeze an order in...

To add to the topic, here's a couple:

I have in stock the titles listed above. And the Virtue you post is about to be re-issued.
As for those comps and how they sound and if they are boots of not; well consider first that all the stuff on them is stuff onlt released on 7" and pretty rare records at that. It is surprising just to find all the recordings together. As for the csound it is not the greatest, it sounds like they would if you were listening to the records which most of the tracks like the one from Todd the Wet Sprocket would most in likely be the only way you will ever hear it. The packaging is not great at all, only a 2-panel card and even NWOBHM is spelled incorrectly on the front. I have a collection of myself but I also have a big collection of NWOBHM on CD, think those only add.

Yeah, I've got that Virtue coming in the mail already :p

Well, that sounds disappointing :/ However, I understand the circumstances of those releases considering... Let me see what I have available to spend and if I can, I'll pick up the Mythra and Voltz. That typo on the Bleak House cover would drive me insane haha, but will keep it under consideration in the future.

The Bleak House fine, I was tlaking about the NWOBHM Vinyl Years compilation CD, there are 3 volumes

Ah ok, your message was kind of garbled so I took a stab at what you said :p I can't afford all 3 at the moment anyway, so 2 will have to do for the time being once I make sure I have it to spend :erk:
